Abstract

Background & Objectives:

South Asian herbal medicine and traditional Unani medicine frequently contain "majoon" formulations, which are said to improve sexual function, vigour, and endurance. One such mixture, Majoon-e Aatish, is said to have strong aphrodisiac and energising properties. The purpose of this study is to assess Majoon-e Aatish's safety, tolerability, and initial effectiveness in adult males with mild to severe sexual dysfunction and low energy levels.

Goals and Hypotheses

Main Hypothesis: When compared to a placebo, regular use of Majoon-e Aatish over an 8-week period will dramatically improve indices of male physical stamina and sexual performance.

Secondary Hypotheses: Majoon-e Aatish will be well tolerated with no significant side effects, and it will improve mood, serum testosterone levels, and subjective energy/fatigue scores.

Outcome Measures

Primary Outcomes:

  • Improve sexual performance

  • Men who took Majoon-e Aatish showed better performance in bed compared to those who took a placebo.

  • Increased physical stamina

  • They had more strength and lasted longer during physical activity, like walking or exercising.

Secondary Outcomes:

  • Higher Testosterone Levels

  • Blood tests showed a healthy increase in testosterone (the male hormone).

  • Better mood

  • Many participants reported feeling happier and more emotionally balanced.

  • Serum testosterone level

  • More Energy / Less Fatigue

  • They felt more energetic and less tired throughout the day.

  • Well Tolerated

  • Most people had no side effects. A few had mild stomach discomfort, but nothing serious.

Tolerability and Safety (the degree of safety and the way in which it was handled):

  • The majority of Majoon-e Aatish users experienced no significant adverse effects or concerns.

  • About 4 out of 56 individuals experienced modest stomach pain, such as bloating or light gas. This resolved itself without the need for medication.

  • There were no adverse effects that required anyone to cease using the product.

  • Important organs were not harmed because blood tests (for liver and kidney health) were normal.

  • Over the course of the 8-week research, users found it to be safe and well-tolerated.

Discussion

According to this study, Majoon-e Aatish has a good safety record and may considerably improve male vitality, physical stamina, and sexual performance. The herbal ingredients, which have long been utilised in Unani medicine, may work in concert to promote mood and endocrine function, including testosterone regulation.

The short duration (8 weeks) and reliance on subjective criteria in addition to empirical data are drawbacks, despite the encouraging results. Extensive research is necessary to determine the precise pharmacological mechanisms of action.

Conclusion

In this fictitious clinical experiment, Majoon-e Aatish, a traditional Unani aphrodisiac and energising polyherbal compound, showed notable increases in male mood, stamina, and sexual health. It was highly received and might be used in conjunction with other treatments to treat adult males' minor sexual dysfunction and exhaustion.
